Abstract

The increase in plastic consumption has triggered environmental problems due to the accumulation of non-biodegradable waste. In Tampok Blang Village, Aceh Besar, plastic waste is generally discarded or openly burned, causing air and soil pollution. This community service program aims to provide a solution for processing plastic waste into fuel using simple pyrolysis technology. The implementation method includes socialization, pyrolysis equipment demonstration, and hands-on practice by residents in processing polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastics. The results show that the community is able to operate the simple pyrolysis tool, produce liquid fuel, and understand its economic potential. The average time for converting plastic into liquid fuel ranges from 45 to 60 minutes for 1 kg of plastic. This program contributes to increasing environmental awareness, energy independence, and business opportunities at the village level.
