Pemberdayaan Ekonomi Keluarga Melalui Pelatihan Sabun Cuci Piring di Desa Pekubuan Dusun 1 Kecamatan Tanjung Pura

Abstract

The limited employment opportunities and fluctuations in household income in rural areas necessitate simple and applicable family economic empowerment strategies. This community service program aimed to improve the technical skills and entrepreneurial motivation of housewives through dishwashing soap-making training in Pekubuan Village. The method applied was Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a mixed-method approach, involving 20 participants. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test with a structured questionnaire (?=0.892), and difference tests were analyzed through paired sample t-test using SPSS 26.0. The results showed a significant increase in technical knowledge, entrepreneurial understanding, and entrepreneurial motivation (p<0.001) with a very large effect size (Cohen’s d>2.0). Furthermore, 60% of participants started their own businesses with an average additional income of IDR 485,000 per month. This program has proven effective in enhancing skills, motivating entrepreneurship, and providing alternative household income, making it a potential model for women-based family economic empowerment at the village level.
