Gabung Makmur Village is one of the villages located in Kerinci Kanan District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. Geographically, this village is situated in a lowland area with abundant natural potential. The majority of the residents of Gabung Makmur Village depend on agriculture, plantation, and livestock farming, which serve as the backbone of the local economy. This village also has potential for development, one of which is the number of plants that can be used as family herbal medicine. The methods used in the implementation of community service include socialization, training in herbal medicine preparation, and the establishment of a family medicinal plant garden. The socialization activities were attended by the residents of Gabung Makmur Village, especially the PKK mothers, as the main participants. The result is the availability of land or family plant gardens that can be managed and utilized by the community, particularly by the PKK mothers. In addition, the residents of Gabung Makmur Village also gained understanding and insight into the benefits of plants around them that can be used as complementary medicine for their families.
