Abstract

The abundant sago waste in the Meranti Islands Regency is often discarded, causing significant environmental pollution. However, this waste has great potential to be utilized as animal and fish feed, considering its nutritional content such as starch, crude fiber, and protein. This community service program aims to provide socialization and assistance to Bumdesma Rumbio Nusa Mandiri regarding the licensing of sago waste-based feed products, namely PARUS (Ruminant Feed from Sago) and PASI (Utilization of Sago Waste for Fish). The implementation methods include the preparation of licensing documents, technical training for the community, and assistance in the licensing application process in accordance with government regulations. The program also includes education on the importance of utilizing waste as an economic solution and reducing environmental pollution. The expected outcomes of this program include obtaining distribution permits for the feed products, scientific publications, enhancing the community's skills in sago waste management, and reducing environmental impacts. This program supports the sustainability concept by promoting more effective and environmentally friendly management of local resources.
