Penguatan Kemandirian Ekonomi: Sosialisasi Manajemen Keuangan pada Kelompok Ibu-ibu Pengajian

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance family economic independence by strengthening financial management understanding among the women's religious study group in RT 13 Selumit Pantai. The target group faces several challenges, including the absence of financial record-keeping, lack of monthly budgeting, and the absence of a regular saving habit. These conditions lead to an imbalance between income and expenses and increase vulnerability to financial problems. The activity was conducted face-to-face using socialization methods through counseling and interactive discussions. The materials delivered included an introduction to financial management, initial steps in managing family finances, preparation of monthly budgets using the 70%-20%-10% scheme, expense management strategies, and other supporting topics.  The evaluation was conducted using interactive quizzes to assess participants’ understanding. The results indicated an improvement in both comprehension and application of basic financial management principles by the participants, which contributed to the development of more prudent and well-planned financial behavior, supporting the realization of family-level economic independence.
