Sosialisasi UU KDRT untuk Pencegahan Kekerasan dalam Rumah Tangga pada PKK Desa Kradenan Kebumen

Abstract

Context: Domestic violence (DV) is a serious issue that threatens family harmony and community well-being. Limited legal knowledge at the village level often results in low reporting rates and weak prevention efforts. Objective: This community service program aimed to enhance legal awareness among residents of Kradenan Village, Kebumen, through education and dissemination of Law No. 23 of 2004 on the Elimination of Domestic Violence. Method :The program was implemented through legal counseling, group discussions, and the distribution of accessible legal information materials. Summary of Result: The activities increased public understanding of the definition, forms, impacts, and reporting mechanisms of DV. Participants’ enthusiasm reflected a strong need for continuous legal education. Conclusion/benefit : Academic involvement in community empowerment has proven effective in strengthening legal awareness and contributing to preventive efforts against DV.
